It is important to come prepared for clinical and nursing classes, because you will have some long days as a nursing student! Here's a brief rundown of everything I keep in my bag to be ready for the day.

    Clinical

    • Assessment kit, containing

      • Blood pressure cuff

      • Stethoscope

      • Penlight

      • Bandage scissors

      • Hemostat

      • Wristwatch

    • Mini notebook: helps me jot down quick notes that will be useful for completing assignments related to clinical later on

    • Pen, highlighter, sharpie

    • Storage clipboard: multipurpose clipboard that allows me to store any paperwork I may need or instructions for assignments

    • Personal care items: water, lunch/snack, hand sanitizer, lip balm, extra hair tie

    Nursing Classes

    • Laptop

    • iPad

*Either a laptop or iPad is necessary for taking exams and completing assignments, but you do not need both! However, I like taking notes on my iPad using my apple pencil and the app Goodnotes

    • Pen, pencil, highlighter

    • Notebook

    • Water

    • Snack

    • Planner or calendar

Hopefully this helps you get a better understanding of everything you should bring to clinical/nursing classes! Now you can stay prepared and be at the top of your game :)
